Dear Rev. Spitz,
As the author of this article, I do not believe that Dr. Tiller's murder was a "good and needed" thing. I believe all killing is wrong, with two exceptions: Capital punishment - which I do believe in - because anyone who takes an innocent human life should be brought to justice through capital punishment. And second, the righteous and self-protecting killing of our enemies during wartime. Tiller's murder by someone calling himself "Christian and pro-life" brought terrible harm to the reputation of the Christian community. Every time something like this happens, all Christians are placed in the same category as the killer. Justice must be left up to the courts. Pro-lifers in Kansas were working very hard to bring Tiller's heinous crimes against unborn babies to light, and he had been brought to court several times. Only God knows why he was allowed to continue, but I do not believe God provided his own vengeance through human hands in this case. When evil prevails, as God told Habakkuk, we are to wait upon the Lord.

Babykiller Tiller's welcomed demise was not senseless as you put it. It stopped that babykiller from murdering any more children. It was a good thing and a needed thing.
