Get a sneak peek of scriptural based TV series “The Bible” set to premiere March 3

the-bible“The Bible” is a new mini-series slated to premiere on the History Channel on March 3.

The show which is divided into five parts, will take viewers through 10 hours of Biblical reenactments, covering the holy book’s major events from Genesis to Revelation.

Created by famed reality-show producer Mark Burnett (Survivor and The Apprentice) and his wife, actress Roma Downey, the endeavor is turning heads and creating a fair bit of intrigue.

An extended-look trailer was recently released, offering new scenes and a fresh lens into what viewers can expect to see.

The series sees stars such as “Game of Thrones” actors Sean Bean and Nonso Anozie, while Roma Downey herself portrays Mary, the mother of Jesus. Following its March 3 premiere, remaining episodes of “The Bible” will air each Sunday with the finale arriving on Easter Sunday, March 31.

The four-minute clip opens with a scene featuring Noah and his famed ark. You’ll also get a sneak-peak at Moses and the burning bush, Jesus’ birth (and baptism), the moments before his crucifixion and the Biblical stories that follow the resurrection. The action-packed video, featuring a litany of scenes from the Judeo-Christian tradition, is worth watching.
