Pro-Life groups, Irish Americans to hold protest in front of U.S. Irish embassy
Due to rumors of legislation that may make abortion commonplace in Ireland, protesters in the Unites States will gather today to ask the Irish government to ask the Irish government to adopt a pro-life stance.
The rally is in response to recent comments Irish prime minister Edna Kenny made recently regarding abortion.

He said that legislators should enact provisions that would allow for abortion in special circumstances.
It will take place the Irish embassy in Washington D.C. andwill be led by Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, the director of the Christian Defense Coalition.
It will include prayer, a news conference public witness and peaceful civil disobedience.
“As an Irish American, I have always been proud of my Irish heritage and history. The land of my ancestors has a rich history of literature, art, music, love of family and a deep concern for the poor and needy around the world,” Mahoney said.
“We call upon the Irish government to stand for human rights and justice for all and keep Ireland abortion free. We pray that Ireland learns from the mistakes that America has made regarding abortion and never allows the violence of abortion on Irish soil,” he said.
