‘The Bible’ reaches millions; View episode 2 trailer (Video)

“The Bible” TV series produced by Mark Burnett, one of the most prolific producers on reality television and known for “Survivor,” “The Voice,” “Shark Tank” and “Celebrity Apprentice,” premiered Sunday at 8 p.m. on the History Channel.

The TV series is a 10-hour adaptation of the Bible (Old and New Testaments) and will run for five Sundays.

Sunday’s (March 3rd) first 2-hour episode “The Beginnings,” opened with the story of Noah, featured Abraham reaching the Promised Land and ended with Moses receiving the 10 Commandments from God.

With 13 million viewers, “The Bible” is the highest rated show on cable this year according to Today.com. The show’s Facebook page records a total of 27 million viewers. The show also trended on Twitter. the bible show

Here is a sneak peek of the next episode which airs Sunday, March 10th. The episode features the stories of Saul, David and Samson.
